It's been a long, long time and lots has happened.

My new blogspot will be The Beach Circus.

Our Move

Our Move

So… for several months I had been thinking about starting a blog to chronicle our adventures here in Mexico. As with a lot of things on my “to do list”, my blogging had also fallen into the “manana” category. Well, here’s my first entry.

Let me begin this with a warning to family and friends: I will not censure myself in terms of language or content.

So, Bob and I have been in Ciudad Colima for a month and a half. It is located about 1500 ft above sea-level, 3 hours south of Guadalajara and best of all, 35 minutes north of our favorite beach town, Cuyutlan. It’s a small city, as cities go. It’s very drivable, the roads are in great condition. It’s safe and clean, and the locals are nice, (except for nasty Carmen, who works at Office Depot).

Our reasons for the move were varied. (This was our third move in less than a year.) I think that we really wanted the modern conveniences closer to home. In Chapala, we drove 45min through some pretty hairy mountain passes to get to the nearest Wal-Mart and Office Depot. We had to venture into Guad as there were things we just couldn’t find in Ajijic…not to mention the crazy ass drivers in the big city. Even I would tense up in that traffic mess, and I can read the road signs.

I have to cut this short. Our 105 yr old son woke us up at 5:30 this morning as he had taken a serious runny poop in the bed. Then to make matters worse, as he was not finished, a couple hours later, he followed me into the office with the continuation . This time he nailed the futon and the hallway. I feel guilty. Last night I added into his food some vegetables which I spaced I‘d cooked poblano peppers in the mix. He also appears to be experiencing problems walking, and I’m sure all the steps he goes up and down everyday several times a day are contributing to his weakness in his hind legs. He’s a real trooper.

I’ll pick this up later****
